Based on the French Varappe style climbing shoe—the shoe that ultimately ended up on every dirtbag’s foot in Yosemite Valley and the grandfather of the modern climbing shoe. We created a custom last with modern footing to make them comfortable for everyday wear. 


The El Cap boots feature a leather upper, leather lining and insole, and a rubberized leather mudguard at the toe, heel, and base of the upper. They are constructed using a Blake stitch making them suitable for everyday use and strong enough for heavy outdoorswear. Includes extra laces and dust bags.

We charge a flat shipping rate of $10 for all domestic orders. Orders over $250 will receive free domestic shipping. Items are shipped using USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Tracking information will be issued upon shipment. Please allow up to 5 days for your order to be processed and shipped. You’ll receive a tracking number as soon as the label is created.


Domestic Refunds / Exchanges

Big Rock Candy Mountaineering full-price purchases returned within 14 days of their arrival date that are in new, unworn, and original condition are eligible for a full refund or an exchange. All sale/off-season items are final sale.

Please note that shipping and handling are NOT refundable. The cost of the return label provided will be deducted from your refund.

  • Once a return label is sent, you have 10 business days to drop off the return, or the refund/exchange will be canceled.

  • Items must be returned in good sellable condition. Please return the items in their original poly bag with the hangtags attached and the packaging properly sealed. This ensures the product arrives undamaged and you can receive your full refund/exchange.

  • Failure to follow these instructions may result in a rejection of your return/exchange.

 

Big Rock Candy Mountaineering reserves the right to reject returns if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the customer is attempting to return worn items or for any other exploitation of this return policy.
